My iPhone is sending iMessages from an temporary (old) number i had, how do I change this so it comes from my new number (or even an email of mine)?

I've already got it set to start new convosations from my email rather than the temporary number??

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.6

Hello jwestbrook1,

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with iMessage on your iPhone. I have a couple of suggestions for the issue you described.

First, I recommend turning iMessage off and and then back on. You can do this under Settings > Messages.

If you continue to experience the same issue after turning iMessage off and then back on, I recommend signing out of iMessage and signing back in:

To sign out of your Apple ID:

Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, tap your Apple ID, and select Sign Out.
