Can I use a kingston 120 gb in my early 2009 macbook

I need to get a new hard drive for my computerm and I was going to go shopping this weekend for one. I was going to buy a

Kingston Technology - SSDNow V300 120GB Internal Serial ATA III Solid State Drive for Laptops from best buy (my mind is made up on store) I just wanted to make sure that i can install it in my 2009 macbook.

I would not recommend that.


The torx screws go in the metal sides of the hard drive. Without the correct driver, if it slipped you would be risking damaging the hard drive. The Phillips screws are on the outside and the inside. The outside is not so risky, but if your driver slips when you are inside you could damage some critical electronics.

Hard to get at one of these without the correct driver.


p.s. sometime ago I found a miniature set of screw drivers at the Source for about $5.
