Q: reverse the remote erase on find my phone

Thought my laptop was stolen - two days later the person who took it accidentally found me and returned it. In the meantime I had set it to erase using find my phone. Is there anything I can do to turn that off now that the laptop is back?? I have a backup but it's 5 days old, would love to avoid the loss of data if possible.

MacBook Air, iOS 7.0.6

I don't believe you can stop an erase command once it's sent. You could try pulling your internet connection so it would not connect to the internet to receive the command, then create a new backup.

How can I pull the internet connection? It went to sleep with wi-fi on, when I enter my password and log on it will find the network and log on automatically. Is it as simple as going somewhere out of reach of any network it has a password for?

Go to your wifi router and pull the ethernet wire from the back of it (the WAN port). Or, unplug it.

Thanks for the help! I wasn't on my home network but just went out somewhere and found a spot with no public wi fi networks available. Now I have my hard drive back!
