Burning

I tried to burn a cd on Windows media with no luck. I opened I Tunes and got a message that the registry files needed to import and burn CDs and DVDs are missing; this can be the result of installing other media burning programs ( such as Windows Media?).

The error message suggests reinstalling I Tunes which I have done twice but I am still getting the error message. I uninstalled the previous I Tunes when downloading and installing the new I Tunes.

Has anyone had this problem and resolved it?

thank you

Mario,

I had read these sources. The problem seems to be that this Toshiba laptop has Toshiba CD burning software loaded on it. (I hadn't realized this) The ITunes error says that the ITunes registry is missing files due to the fact that there is other CD burning software on the device (laptop).

Other than taking off the Toshiba software is there any way to fix this? I have reinstalled ITunes 2x but still get the same message when I open ITunes.

Thank you for your assistance.
