PowerPoint files do not play with Sound

at least if they were created with Windows.

This happens repeatedly with Office (both 2004 Mac Student/Teacher Edition and Office X).

Also, this happens on both my iMac Core Duo and my mom's Macbook.

This is a copy of the support message from Microsoft:

"Thank you for requesting support for Microsoft Office. My name is Joseph and I will be working with you to resolve this issue.

ISSUE: Unable to hear sounds in some PowerPoint presentations


1) There is a compatibility issue with some sound files, they simply will not play on a Mac."

So Mac users are out of luck. This is very annoying, and is one of those "Mac marginalization" issues that I've yet to hear addressed.
