Australia Apple Warranty one year or two?

Hi,

My iPhone 5 lock button has completely stopped working. I've always been told that warranty was one year but my friend just told me that it has been changed go two years in Australia? Just wondering if anyone is able to confirm that as I've had my phone for over a year? Thank you!
