my gmail won't load on my imac since I loaded snow leopard. It stalls 5/6 of the way to booting up. Thoughts?

My gmail account will not laod up since I loaded OSX Snow leopard. It starts to load but stops 5/6 of the wat through.

Any ideas on how to solve this?
