just find a ipod the screen said" www.apple/support/ipod" so i did. How do I work it?

Have you tried the link (which by the way, is http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/ ) and then selected the Classic and followed the troubleshooting steps?
Once you do, either it will fix the problem or you should end up with an error message. If needs be, come back here with that error message which will give anyone here something to start with.
ipod display a sad ipod icon on it. i tried to go on itunes on my computer i have updated 10.5.8 and itunes on it, some computer guy helped me with this used computer. i went to itunes on my computer and i can't find source panel and then summary on it, then restore, but i can't go to one step and find source panel on itunes.
The Source panel may be on the left hand side of your iTunes, like this:
(my orange arrow is pointing to the disconnect icon), or on the right, like this:
When you select the iPod, you will see this:
and Restore is on the right hand side
