Internal HDD eject itself

Hi, i already read many topics like this but, i did'nt find any solution.

ALL HARDWARE IS NEW !

I have a MBP mid 2012

-> 1 SSD Samsung 840 Pro 256Go - on hdd bay
-> 1 HDD Hitachi Travelstar 7200 Tr/min 1To - on Superdrive bay

When i copy/past files (LARGE and LONG transfer) to the HDD, it's randomly eject the disk "Disk not ejected properly", and i have to restart the MBP to see it again.
I try to format that disk in HFS+, exFAT, NTFS...
I disable "suspend disk when sleep" from power settings
I use disk utilities to check health, and verify all seams to be good

I also have a Windows 7 installed with bootcamp on SSD. And when i do the same actions as OSX (copy/pase) it works....
i hope you can help me 🙂

Thanks !

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

Thanks LexSchellings 🙂

I copy from OSX to internal as you said

i try:

-> OSX to MAC OS Extended (journaled)

-> OSX to exFAT
-> OSX to NTFS

None of them work.

How can i check the sata connector and cable ?
I think they are not damaged, cause in windows there is no problems.. It sooooo strange ^^

it was me ^^
Accorded to me if it was a hardware issue why on windows there is no error ?
I also do a disk speed test (an osx benchmark tools for drive) from OSX and the test passed without error

If it was you: you can redo it, and take extra care that the sata connector is not damaged and that the seating is correct. That Windows works and OSX not is not really an argument, that happens.

It may be a software issue. Now did you have any disk 'smart' software installed in OSX?

Would you mind downloading Etrecheck from www.etresoft.com and post the list here, and make a screenshot of your Applications and Utilities folders in list format.

"I don't have any S.M.A.R.T apps": I did not mean s.m.a.r.t. apps, I meant 'smart' apps that come with disks you buy.

Now as response to your lists:

1. You made the choice to use Bootcamp for Windows, why not uninstall Virtualbox, and VMware. At least do not have the both at the same time.

2. Uninstall CleanMyMac: this software is one of the worst OSX cripplers. Really uninstall, read here:

http://macpaw.com/support/cleanmymac/knowledgebase/how-to-uninstall-cleanmymac-2

3. uninstall Protech Nosleep, DaisyDisk, ATMonitor (counterproductive, use ActivityMonitor), Wireshark, UnrarX (download from Appstore The-Unarchiver instead), SpeedDownload, iSkysoft, Cord (not Mavericks compatible), Bartender, BetterTouchTool, Alfed.

4.a. TrimEnabler, turn it off, check if the Trim command still is 'yes' in Utilities/SystemInformation/Sata/ and check after each OSX update. Only use TE when the Trim command is gone.

4.b. check if the Samsung Evo has the latest Firmware update.

5. Take all that you do not need continuously out of SystemPreferences/Users&Groups/LoginItems with the minus sign underneath.

6. Uninstall all software that is cracked or has false keys, if you have any. If you have used CleanMyMac to remove binaries, or languages: you have to do a Recovery of the OSX, because it is compromised, it will let your user data and software alone.

Restart, empty the trash.

Redo the test that I said (OSX-->MacOsExtended(journaled) without NTFS installed.

Ok i just didn't uninstall

-> Virtualbox

-> Wireshark
-> Cord (seams to work)

When i disable TrimEnabler, in System info under SATA/SATA Express, on my SSD TRIM is not enabled.

I clean my system, i will now upgrade my ssd firmware and i will try again with MacOsExtended(journaled)Thanks for your advices ! see you soon for report ^^

Apr 2, 2014 5:04 AM in response to Razy69

CoRD is not compatible with Mavericks !

Why not Wireshark?

Trim: after you have set it with Trim enabler, Quit TrimEnabler, the Trim should stay. If not there is something wrong with TE. If it does not work as I say, uninstall TE with Appcleaner (http://www.freemacsoft.net/appcleaner), then download Chameleon (http://chameleon.alessandroboschini.it/index.php), unzip, start it, unlock with your account password, click ON, check in SystemInformation, Quit Chameleon (do not do anything else with it). Uninstall Chameleon.

Note: now you have used TE several times and or Chameleon, you can not go back anymore, because the .orig part of the kext is not the .orig anymore.

okkk 🙂 i will remove Cord, have you got a replacement for it ?
i need wireshark for my work ^^

i will try to do this trick with trim and chameleon

the copy/past from OSX -> DATA MacOsExtended(journaled) seams to work now. May be the paragon driver ? I will report again when my operation end.

Sorry for my english ^^

Thanks a lot man !
