Wifi connection

I'm having a terrible time connecting to my home wifi with all devices iPad Air iPad mini and iphone, yet strangely enough my old ipad1 connects fine. I'm assuming this is due to the update as my old pad connects perfectly.

Is there anything that can be done? Yes I have tried all the resets reboots etc etc.

iPad, iOS 7.1

I found an article that includes a few additional steps you can try. I recommend reviewing the steps in the sections titled "Resolution" and "Unable to connect to a Wi-Fi network" for the issue you described (you can skip any steps you have already taken):
