My Bluetooth keyboard won't pair with my ipad mini anymore

I have an Apple Bluetooth keyboard ( model no: A1314 ) that I use with my iPad mini.

It worked perfectly until recently. One day, I came home and my iPad wouldn't detect it to pair with it on Bluetooth. The keyboard itself just has a blinking light going off and on when I turn the power on.

I've tried removing the batteries and putting them back in, I've restarted my iPad, I've tried holding the power button on the keyboard down while trying to connect it, but nothing works.

Help please!

iPad, iOS 7.0.6, Bluetooth wireless keyboard

Try putting new batteries in your keyboard.

Remove the pairing on your iPad by pressing the "i" next to the keyboard name in Settings > Bluetooth

Turn on the keyboard, the status indicator should glow and then blink indicating the keyboard is in "discovery" mode

Pair the keyboard with your iPad using Settings > Bluetooth.

FYI: pressing and holding the keyboard power button for three seconds turns the keyboard off.
