Apple ID

I am not sure if this is the right community or not but could not find an Apple ID one and this is the closest.

I have today been prompted by Apple to change my Apple ID password for some unknown reason as I had not had any unseccesful log ons. But to avoind any possibility that it may be a spam email I logged onto the Apple ID website and changed my password directly rather than through any email links.

I changed it succesfully and was very sup[rised when a few moments later my wife received an email advising her that I have changed my password.I have checked my apple ID alternative passwords and her email is not one of those. Her Apple ID is a seperate Apple ID to mine and I have no idea why she would have received this email.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Regards

JAson

Hey JasonSFletcher,

Thanks for the question. Can we check to see if there is a rescue email address associated with your account?
