can't remote control computer

HI,

I just bought remote desktop 3.7.2. I would like to be able to remote control a mac mini which will be shipped off to a client. I've installed the software and connected to the mini. I can shut it down and reboot it, send messages... but somehow all the other functions (which are the ones I would mostly use) are grayed out.

Whenever I try to "Remote Control", I do get a view of what is going on on the desktop but I can not move anything around. (see screenshot).

however task status marks the taks as "sucessful". Whenever I try to unlock the screen I get a "Not authorized" status report.

I am probably doing something really Noob'ish here, but I do hope someone can help me out.

Thanks a bunch!

Alex

Did you make sure you turned on the "Remote Management" feature on the client machine? You need to do this to give access to a specific user who would be managing the device. On the client machine, you would need to go to System Preferences>Sharing>click checkbox for "Remote Management". Then add users that would be managing the machine. This may be the probelm as to why you can observe but not actually manage??
