How can I disable Notification Center on iOS 7.1?

Used to be able to jump through some hoops in accessibility settings, triple click, tap, triple tap and it would temporarily disable NC - apparently Apple "fixed" that in iOS 7. Now when I use Penultimate, my palm dragging across the edge of my iPad opens NC. Annoying. Anybody have a secret key sequence to shut it off? (up up down down left right left right whatever)

Yes and yes, and using a Jot Script stylus as well. Notification Center takes precedence over app settings. I could also flip the iPad around, but that's another kludge and (last I knew) Penultimate documents get weird when you don't use the prescribed orientation and save your documents to Evernote (which I do). Haven't had a chance to see if that's any different with the newest release of Penultimate.

Have you tried enabling guided access?

Settings -> Accessibility -> Guided Access to on

Triple tap home button and choose a pin number once in Penultimate - once in guided access mode you won't be able to trigger NC or CC. Triple tap and enter pin to exit.

With guided access on you won't be able to switch to other apps - you'll be locked into the app you were using when you enabled it.
