Audio plug in folder - move instead of copy

Hey all,

Question. I often have to go into my plugins folder to temporarily disable plugins (I use Cubase). I've always had to authenticate to do this and understand why. However, since upgrading to mavericks when I try to move my plugins from, say the VST folder (/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST) to my disabled folder (/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST (Disabled) ) I'm not given the option to move the plug-ins. Rather, the only option I have is to copy. The Cursor gets a green + near it and the plug-ins copy, after which I have to erase the plug-ins in the original folder (after authenticating). Is there a way to turn this behavior off?

I believe it applies to VST and Components folder but, interestingly enough, not to the VST3 folder.

Any help would be appreciated.

All the best
