AVI Movie in Preview?
Try Quicktime (not sure if avi supported) or VLC
sorry, if it's possible to see it in preview, when you press the space bar while in finder.
thanks
oh, you mean quickview. Not sure how to resolve this. Can you open the file in Quicktime?
yes, it converts it.
ricardo.macedo,
You should probably join the others in this thread…
Apple decided to stop using Quicktime across the OS in exchange for AVFoundation - it supports 64 bit but sadly doesn't support many older codecs or video formats. It also doesn't support the ability for third parties to add extra codecs or Apple is keeping that feature very quiet.
Tools like Quicklook & Finder will only handle AVFoundation supported file formats.
Hopefully this post ties it all together for you …

Basically you have the option to convert your video to formats that Apple supports or you can go back to an OS before 10.9. The good news is that Apple's supported formats also make most videos larger in file size too!
Who needs enemies when we have Apple fighting for our needs?
thank you so much 😉
