my imovie is not recognizing my built in camera

I upgrade to maverick and now Imovie doesn't recognize my built in camera?

MacBook, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

Same exact problem...since the update I can no longer use iMovie to record video with my onboard camera.

(ManBook Pro 17" 2009 - 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo)

I have no "Apple Systems Profiler" in my utilities folder to check to see if my camera is recognized.

In my systems library I have many many com.apple.... files but no "com.apple.mio.VDCAssistant.plist" to delete
