my icloud was cut off because it ran out of space - I've now bought more storage but am worried that messages I sent and received before I realised will have been lost. Is there a way to recover them?

My icloud storage was cut off today because i ran out of storage - I have now bought more storage but am worried that the messages i sent and received in the time that the storage was cut off (i was working for a couple of hours) will have been lost - how do you check that all messages have come through??
