If I click on the messages app it doesn't load any text, then it freezes, and then it crashes. I have tried re starting it, and going into it through the contacts. When I did that I got the chance to delete all the messages. Then I tried to send one and it wouldn't send and now is back to how it started. Help!!!

Did you try force closing the Messages app? If not, double-tap the home button, locate the Messages app, swipe up on the image above the app icloud, then tap the home button again. Test messages again.
Next try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Go to Settings>Messages>Send and Receive and sign out and sign back in
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
