Q: How does my wife's phone get my music, apps, and other things that I download?  I want to stop that.

Why does my wife get the apps that I download and the music and other items as well?

iPhone 5c, Windows Vista

If you are using the same AppleID then check Settings > ITunes and App Stores > Automatic Downloads and turn this Off for Musics, Apps, Books, etc. on her iPhone.

You can completely separate your stuff from your wife's as follows:

    1.  Separate the iPhones.  Do Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings on your wife's iPhone.  This will reset and erase her iPhone as if it just came out of the box.  You would then set it up with her own Apple ID and password.

    2.  Sync using her own iTunes.  Sync yours and your wife's iPhones each to separate versions of iTunes, each under your own login on your computer.
