    MMM strange:

The macpaw entries must be deleted from your system.

I have a proposal: download  FindAnyFile  from  http://apps.tempel.org/FindAnyFile/

In the search field type   macpaw

a list will be displayed: in that list you can 'move to trash' all occurences (probably the two plists). Before you trash them write down where you find them please I am curious to know where they are.

Make a new search with   iSkysoft

You should delete the whole folder, here too I am curious where that is.

After Quitting FAF empty the trash bin.

I am curious where did FAF say where the

    com.macpaw.CleanMyMac2Helper.scheduledScan.plist

    and

    com.macpaw.CleanMyMac2Helper.trashWatcher.plist

    are?

As for me, you may trash everything.

You can use this FAF to search for Ubisoft too.

What language do you have there? Swedish?

It found it on the Documents file. Yeah, good that you figured it out It's indeed Swedish. So i should erase all of it, everything in the first and second search result? And then search for Ubisoft and delete that one too and give you a new report?

Lex will probably be along later on. In the meanwhile you might want to read through some of the ideas that Randy Singer has been publishing for years at Macintosh OS X Routine Maintenance. If you are seeing the spinning Beachball cursor a lot, pay particular attention to the suggestions on the page at that link.

Another thing to check is that your hard drive isn't failing (I know it's a little early for that to happen, but it can). Start with verifying it with Disk Utility. If there are issues you'll have to fix them by booting to the Recovery Partition and using DU to repair it there.

    I was away.

Not much to see in the list. But for some reason the fuse kext is still there:

Since you now have FAF, type in   fusefs  and delete the kext file you find.

I suppose you need Parallels Desktop, is that a regular version? Is it at least version 8, lower is not running well in 10.9.

From the MacintoshHD /LIbrary/InternetPlugins/  folder delete the DirectorShockwave plugin, and the Silverlight plugin. Maybe you can completely uninstall the Silverlight app (in Applications).

It is a bit depending on the regularity of the apps you use, we spoke about it.

The hosts file is not the cause (that has only to do in internet access).

I can imagine, that you rather have us to do the digging and want to avoid all the reading that Mad gave you , but I am normally not very anxiuous to read non-Apple produced instructions, like the OSXdaily and Cnet pages sometimes advise crap or simply wrong recommendations: but don't worry boys, I am going to read it, and maybe post comments here when there are wrong adivises in there.

Now about the MBP2011, restart in the Recovery mode (start while holding CMD+R), choose DiskUtility from the menu, do verify disk on the main disk. The last word in the result should be 'OK'. If not tell us, and also do the 'repair disk'. Afterwards restart.

I again did look in your Appliactions and Utilities: no special problems, read my remark on that above in this post.

OK, I started reading the RoutineMaintenance pages:

    Rather old hat.

The first page no reading for Mavericks users, wrong:

--The first link to Memory Measure: this does not work anymore in Lion, Mountain Lion and Mavericks: it is PPC. Even it would work it would be completely wrong to use it in Mavericks.

--The second link (Apple) is outdated.

--The third link (SuperDuper!): years ago I used both CarbonCopyCloner and SuperDuper. after a long test, I choose CCC, and as soon as Lion came found that CCC was cloning the Recovery parition, long before SD. So now I only use CCC, and am happy about it. I think SD is on the same level. No reason to promote SD.

--The same remark for Glyph hardware, I see no reason the promote that hardware.

The next Chapter Repair Disk Permissions:

This reading is from the (Snow)Leopard period, no harm done, the promotion of Intego's tool(s) is full-out wrong.

Part two of this chapter (Run RoutineMaintenance): same sort of comments; promotion for paid software (that I would not recommend).

I stop reading now, because this is apparently a software-hardware promotion article.

IMHO the Apple Discussion Forum is a much better factfinding forum.

    Thank You.
