Why all of a sudden my photo on the desktop changes?
I do not have it set to change. It just started in the last couple of days to change to the original background. Help! It's a pain to change every day.

Based on your description (able to change to preferred desktop photo, but changes back to default), it sounds like you may have a minor permissions issue. Incorrect file permissions may prevent changes from being written or saved to a pref file, which may cause things to revert when you restart. You may find the following article helpful:
