Hi, i have an iPhone 5, and the lock button doesn't work immediatley on press. I have to press it about 5 times for this to work... I'm pretty sure my apple warranty has ran out, is there another way of fixing it?

Use virtual power button. Settings App > General > Accessibility > Assistive Touch > ON > Device > Lock Screen. This can even turn iPhone OFF. To turn iPhone ON, connect to power, charger or USB of computer.
Iphone 5 Lock Screen button doesn't work.
