How to delete files from my MacBook permanently

My hard disk has only around 120mb left. I tried to delete some heavy files and programs by putting them in the trash, but this is not helping to get more free space on my computer. I have already deleted around 60gb of software, but that's not resulting in free space on my hard disk. Can someone tell me how I should solve this?

Capaciteit = capacity

Beschikbaar = available

Gebruikt = used

Aantal bestanden = number of files

My Trash is emptied automatically. (Leeg=empty)

This might work. But do not try it without a backup of the drive you will work on.

If you've installed third-party software called "Disk Drill," I suggest you remove it according to the developer's instructions. If you prefer to keep the software, refer to the developer for support.
