I lost the content of my aperture library after updating the library.

Can anyone tell me how to undo the update. I hope that will restore my library. I tried the First Aid tools and deleted the user preferences. No result unfortunately...

The only way to undo the update of a library is to restore it from the backup.

But I do not know of any way, that updating a library will delete it. In what way has your library been lost by the update? Are images missing? Can Aperture not open it? Does Aperture not find it?

What has been the original version, and what version did you update to?

It seems I have a new library without my "old" pictures.

Is this library apparently empty, but large enough to be holding all your image files?

What is the size of this new library?

I thought I had version 3.4.something.

Have you checked the version of your Aperture Application? From the menu item "Aperture > About Aperture"? What is it?

Sometimes missing images will turn up in a recovered project. Is there such a project?

Also, check the search fields in the Browser and the Inspector, if any filters are set.

Have you tried all three First Aid options?

Do you have a current backup of your library?
