How to have new podcast name show up in the directory under that name?

Hello! I successfully changed my Podcast name (with help from this community - thank you ROGER! :-)); however I have a new challenge.

Old name was "MichelleFit.com Podcast". New name is "Beyond Burning Fat Podcast". When I do a search in iTunes and put in "burning fat" or any combination of the words above (mimicking how someone might search for my podcast if they coulnd't remember the exact name), it does not come up. HOWEVER, if I put in the search "MichelleFit", it comes up perfectly (under the OLD name).

Where have I neglected to change the info? Or can I?

And keep in mind, I am a NOVICE. I tried to search for the answer in the community before posting, and most of the lingo was above my head . . .

A brief step-by-step (assuming virtually no knowledge) would be most helpful!

It should sort itself out eventually, but the information in the Search database seems to lag quite some days behind any changes to the actual podcasts.

Thanks Roger, It's been almost two weeks -- I think I may have neglected to change something somewhere . . . I use Bluehost and Blubrry plugin on wordpress. Perhaps something with the feed?

As far as iTunes is concerned, from where does it "read" the name so that it will come up in the directory as such?

This is presumably your podcast:

It's using the feed at

http://michellefit.com/feed/podcast/

which still has the tag <title>MichelleFit.com Podcast </title>

so you haven't actually changed it. Indeed the word 'burning' appears nowhere in the feed.

I see you are hosting with libsyn - if you would like help on getting your feed worked out - let me know.

There is no reason to be using a wordpress managed feed - they cause all kinds of issues.

I'm afraid I can't advise on WordPress. Presuamably it takes the title from that of the website, which is still Michellefit.com on all pages. I can't see a reference to Burning Fat anywhere so I don't know what you did about that.
