my mac boots up but won't reach my desktop screen.What should i do?

Please explain why you say your Mac is booting fine if it never goes to the Desktop?

That certainly does not fit my definition of booting fine.

Please stop typing in caps. It is rude to type in caps on the web because it is considered shouting. Also it is more difficult to read.
