None of my data syncs with iCloud

I have followed all the instructions to my knowledge...I am signed into iCloud and have set up my desktop and my laptop to be running with iCloud. I have updated to Mavericks. I have checked the boxes of the items I would like to sync (most importantly my Calendar, and some of my documents) but when i log on to the online iCloud, they are not there, and they are certainly not syncing to one another. I really need to share and sync my Calendar on all devices! Please help!!
