How to reset all recent contacts??

Ok so basically if you text someone thats not in your contacts and then delete the thread and go to send a new text it shows that number under recent. Well I sell a lot on craigslist so theres probally like 150 numbers in there... Is there a way for me to remove them ALL? Ive done a clean restore with no backup yet they still show unless i delete them. are they like tied to my apple id or what?
