samsung ml-1430 on intel mac howto
I thought I'd write this as it took me a few days to figure out how to get a samsung ml-1430 laser printer to work on the new intel Macs as samsung dropped support for them on Macs.
Go here http://www.linuxprinting.org/macosx/samsung-gdi/ and download samsung-gdi-foomatic-1.0.ppc.dmg and install it.
Now setup the printer either via cups, http://localhost:631, or via the printer setup utility. Use the "Samsung ML-4500 Foomatic + GDI" driver that was installed with the above package. Some of the others seem to work, but print crooked pages. The 4500 driver seems to print straight so far.
