Thunderbolt 2 cable vs Thunderbolt 1 cable

Is there any differance between the cable for Thunderbolt 1 and 2?

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3), Mac Pro2,1

And according to Apple also the newest TB2 0.5m cables " Thunderbolt 2 technology can bond the two channels for a superfast 20Gb/s" and the cable costs $29. Some felt it was worth the extra cost and elminated some problems.
