FCP X, ACES and OpenEXR

Hi all,

We will have more and more projects in the future using ACES workflow - requiring OpenEXR files.

I've been using Quicktime reference movies with image sequences (Dpx, Tif) but OpenEXR seems to be a hard case to crack.

FCP X in current state (10.1.1.) just cannot import image sequences, period. I cannot wait to any unforseeable future before Apple does something - if ever.

I do not know a workaround to make OpenEXR wrapped in Quicktime to be able to import them properly in FCP. Because of multichannel nature may not even be possible?

Has anybody any good tips or knowledge of any plugin, before I am forced to move to some Creative Cloud -solution? Please!

Do any of you need to deal with this?

Thanks
