Q: if update iphoto will i lose pictures?

I am trying to order prints and it is asking me to update iphoto before ordering. Is this safe and will I lose any pictures if I do this update?

    You won't lose any photos unless a problem occurs; back the library up first, and if you use an iLife DVD to upgrade, run all relevant iPhoto updaters after the installation and before opening iPhoto.
