MY IPOD IS FROZEN ON A SONG TITLE

HELP ME PLEASE. I HAD MY SONGS ON SHUFFLE AND IT JUST FROZE. IT WON'T EVEN TURN OFF! IT IS JUST STUCK ON A SONG. IT WON'T PLAY THE SONG, IT JUST HAS THE TEXT ON THE SCREEN. NO REACTION FROM THE IPOD WHATSOEVER. I PLUGGED IT IN TO MY PC AND THE PC WON'T ACKNOWLEDGE THE IPOD. I HAVE THE 30GB BLACK IPOD. CAN ANYONE HELP ME??

Try Resetting your iPod. Hold down the MENU and SELECT (centre) buttons for five or ten seconds until you see the Apple logo appear then the menu button to go to the normal display. Have a look at this link as well: iPod stops responding

I had a similar problem with a clickwheel version a while ago. If a reset doesn't work then your best bet is to probably send your iPod back to apple for them to fix it properly. When mine had this problem, they simply sent me a new iPod, I was under warranty at the time, so if you are not you may be expected to pay for repairs.
