how do i reformat my Mail?

HELP! My usual Mail format has disappeared and I cannot get it back. I used to have 3 columns; my mailboxes on the left, message header, date time and author in the middle and a 2 line message summary on the right. The middle column has disappeared and I cannot get the old format back. I have tried preference andn View to no avail.

I've just tested this and it works for me.

Select an email and then in Mail>Preferences>Viewing select 'Use Classic Layout' - and then deselect it (so that you revert to the three-column option). The layout doesn't seem to change to three columns until you click on the extreme right of the email window, just before the right edge of the window. The third column should then appear and you can drag the vertical separator to the position you want.

Bit difficult to describe but a bit of clicking on the right edge of the emal that is selected and hopefully you'll get the three panels back. Seems a bit of a palaver though 🙂.
