the partition became corrupted, how,do i create a recovery usb?

If your recovery partition is not working, then try booting into internet recovery, option-⌘-R at restart.

other options:

  1. safe boot (hold down shift at restart)
  2. single user mode (command-S at restart)
  3. if you have another working mac you can make a bootable installation disk with diskmaker X and an 8 GB USB flash drive. DiskMaker X (formerly Lion DiskMaker)
