I don't whether it is useful or not because there are alot mixed reviews online so yeah.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

oh dear can of worms

Many say no need for anti virus on mac

I use sophos free for home use

Clam XAV is also free from App store

loads of threads on this
