I downloaded a paid app but I have to pay for it!?!

I downloaded a few paid apps (which were free at the time) on my old ipod, and when I got a new ipod I had to pay for it this time.

The apps were called Badlands, Tiny Wings, etc. it's basically apps that given away for free for the apple store's anniversary. Is there a way for me to download these apps again?
