The tech specs for the LG headset http://www.lg.com/us/cell-phone-accessories/lg-HBS730/technical-specifications shows the headset uses Bluetooth 3.0. The iPad 1 uses Bluetooth 2.1 so will not be compatible even though the profiles, ADP and AVRCP are ok.
