I have updated to 10.9.2 mavericks, everything fine except maps app. Froze on opening so forced quit, reopened to get a apparition of the maps template in bright contrast to desktop image. So clearly no maps functionality? Reinstalled original 10.9

In case it helps: I have been running 10.9.2 for a while, I don't normally use Maps much, but I just ran it up then and it seems to be working just fine.

I would reinstall the update, but I would use the combo rather than the App Store download.

Yeah, I have done as you suggested and used the combo and everything is running as I would expect following the install. I really don't understand what occured previously in maps, very strange. Thanks for your help.
