Q: Imac Airplay & Iphone

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, and carnt seem to find the answer on the net, I can share a photo between my iPhone 5s and my wife's iphone 5, but how do I do it with the Imac? If I right click on a photo on the mac and send via airplay the send button stays dull so carnt press it? Do I need to switch on airplay somewhere on Imac? If so where.... Thanks.

    Howdy postie90,

It sounds like you are able to share from one iPhone to another without issue, but would like to share a photo from your Mac to your iOS devices. Airplay on the Mac requires an Apple TV and is for viewing your Mac screen on your TV. Here is more information about that:

You can however use the share menu in Finder by Messaging the photo to the the Apple ID set up on the phone you want to send it to or emailing it to the account set up on that phone. This article will help you do that:

    1. In a Finder window, select one or more items you want to share, then click the Share button in the toolbar. If the item is on the desktop, Control-click it or tap it with two fingers, then choose Share.S0400_ShareButton.png
    2. Choose how you want to share from the options listed in the Share menu. The options listed—including Email, Messages, Facebook, Twitter, and others—depend on the type of item you’re sharing.
    3. Provide any additional information needed for the sharing method you chose. For example, if you share a photo using Twitter, you can type some text describing the photo.
