Q: determine which AirportExtreme/Time Capsule backup is my computer?
Today my hard disk crashed on my iMac. I have it backed up on my Airport Extreme/Time Capsule. I also have my old iMac (now my wife's computer) backed up on the same Airport Extreme/Time Capsule. The names that show for the backups re ambiguous (i.e. they both have my name).
Is there a way to determine which backup to use to restore my system to my iMac?

Your best bet is to see if there is some way you can find a date modified on a file on the Time Machine. That should help.
