Serial Number not on Sim Card tray

Serial Number Lookup:

I have an iphone 4 that will not charge, and is dead. I know the serial number is supposed to be on the Sim Card Tray, but it is not. I can't even do an Apple Chat if I don't have my serial number. I have all of my appleID password, phone number information. How do I get my serial number?
