my pc tell me that my ipod is running 32bit and I have to delete it and put 64 bit new sofeware how?

I haven't used my ipod for a while and when I plug it to my pc, it tell me that this ipod is running 32bit and I need to load a 64 bit to make it work. I know I am running 64 bit in my pc. what can I do with my ipod?

I am confused. Just what does the message say? Only the very new iPhones and iPad operate i 64 bit. All iPods are still 32 bit.

Issues installing iTunes or QuickTime for Windows

Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates


Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP

or

Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8


Next post in the iTunes for windows form and state the wording of the error message
