had another hd installed hitatachi modle HDS721050DLE630 so my hardware has been modified, will I have problems if I try to upgrade Mavericks?

Can someone please give me a clue if this Mavericks is worthwhile and will I have problems since I have modified my computer due to original hd crashing.

I do not want to try and download this if it is going to jam up my system.

Please help i am perplexed and not sure what to do.

Guess I am going to hold off until I see all the bugs are fixed. Do not want any problems.

If anyone does have a suggestion, would appreciate response.
