We've been producing our podcast for quite some time, but what is the best way to look track how many people listen to the show?
We looked at feedburner once but it needs revisiting.

iTunes cannot track downloads because subscribers are connecting directly to your server and the Store is not involved. Apple provide some comments on the subject here:

Feedburner can provide statistics, which it does by substituting a Google Feedproxy URL for each episode URL; requests are counted and then redirected to the actual URL. However although mostly it seems to work OK it's apparently been known to cause problems.
