Need to extract IPAD backup from GHO file and unlock forgotten passcode

Hi There,

I forgot my PASSCODE for my Ipad-4 (wifi+GSM), I need to reset, IPAD is disabled and its not connecting to newly installed ITUNEs..,

Inorder to restore from my backup, i dont have same windows7,

I have backup in GHO-image file, I need to extract the image file and install restore from my back up.

where can I find back up in ITUNES and what are the steps I need to take to extract from windows7 PC, in ITUNES.

waiting for workable support.

There is nothing to extract. Backups are only for restoring an iDevice via iTunes.

Plug the device into the computer.

In iTunes, select the device Summary tab.

Select Restore from Backup.

Select the desired backup and restore.

Hi Diesel,

My I pad is displaying

1. Its disabled and asks for connecting to the itunes,

2. I do not have the same old windows operating system in which I have backup, I have taken the Image of whole C:\ drive but problem now is, I can extrct the files from it but I cant restore it, so I want to extract exact IPAD back in it from I tunes..

C: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\

As already stated, iDevice backups are only for restoring an iDevice via iTunes on a computer.

What you are attempting is unsupported.
