Would like confirmation that I cannot load Mavericks on this Mac. 20inch Late 2006 running Lion 10.7.5 (11G63). It also tells me that software is up to date. Memory is 2GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM . Is there anything else to add, or should I consider a new Mac,d

Many thanks Pete and frazzm737, I think I can upgrade the RAM and will see if Disk Warrior will cure some of the odd stuff that happens.

On principle, I tend to agree with the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" philosophy.

I also like to keep my first Mac from 1985 512k (with external 80k hard disc) Haven't plugged it in recently, but last time I tried it, it churned away ......
