Would like confirmation that I cannot load Mavericks on this Mac. 20inch Late 2006 running Lion 10.7.5 (11G63). It also tells me that software is up to date. Memory is 2GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM . Is there anything else to add, or should I consider a new Mac, ?
This one does all I need, just wonder if at 8 years old it might get Parkinsons or terminal Heart attack......... Anyone got a working 2004 model ?

Run it at the latest OSX it can run, make sure you have the maximum amount of RAM you can install and keep at least 30% of your hard drive free. Also avois any Security, anti-virus and maintenance software. Running a copy of DiskWarrior would not do it any harm also. It may last many more years yet. I still have an old G4 running fine in the shed.
