Q: Where is 10.8??

Hello, I was trying to reconfigure my Mac Book Pro, but somehow the Webcam will not work even after the New Mavericks were upgraded. How Can I find out how to get back to using my Webcam? Please advise ASAP and let me know and I am deaf, So please Thank you!!
